We all know that there is nothing worse than having to remain confined in the same spot on a plane for many hours at a time. If you are on a flight where there is very little or no entertainment available, this will make the journey feel even worse and seem as though it is lasting longer.
To be fair, most airlines have cottoned on to this fact by now. Although there are still some airlines out there that will not provide much in the way of entertainment and these tend to be the cheap and nasty charter airlines.
Whenever I am considering a longhaul flight, one of the main things I investigate first, is the individual entertainment systems that will be offered on the plane I will be on. If there are no good movies, flight games and music to occupy me, it really is quite simple, I definitely will not fly with that company.
Most scheduled airlines, especially, now have excellent individual entertainment systems now. The movies really are up to date and the television programmes tend to be contemporary and what the majority of passengers seem to want.
More and more airlines are now installing back seat television screens that you can stop and start whenever you want - instead of having to go by a system whereby you would have to wait for all the films to finish before you can watch another.
